Bentzen Takyi

Bentzen Takyi is a physiotherapist passionate about helping people move, recover, and perform at their best. He earned a specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from York University and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2018. Bentzen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a certified integrated dry needling (IDN) practitioner. He is currently pursuing advanced manual therapy credentials through the Orthopaedic Division.
Bentzen has a comprehensive approach to managing acute and chronic conditions—including neck and low back pain, shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries—integrating active therapy, education, and hands-on techniques to help patients regain function and build resilience against future injury. He is experienced in both preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation and is committed to promoting long-term health and physical activity.
Bentzen has worked extensively with athletes, serving on the medical teams for the 2022 Canada Summer Games and the 2020 Ontario Winter Games, and continues to support basketball teams, camps, and showcases as an on-site therapist. Outside of work, he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, golf, and has completed a full marathon.
He is an active member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), the Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and the Orthopaedic Division.
