Kathleen graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science with specialized honors in Kinesiology, and then went on to complete her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University.
Driven by a passion for pelvic health advocacy and a dedication to delivering personalized care, Kathleen has a special focus in pre and postnatal care, incontinence, pelvic pain conditions, and pelvic floor weakness.
Kathleen has completed Pelvic Health courses in:
1) Pregnancy, Pelvic Girdle Pain & The Pelvic Floor
2) Caesarian Birth and Rehab
3) Treating the Artistic Athlete-Optimizing Pelvic Health in Dancers
4) The Running Athlete
5) Mobilization of Visceral Fascia: Urinary System
6) Diastasis Rectus Abdominus and the implications for low back & pelvic health
Kathleen has also completed her certification in Concussion Management through CCMI.
She also engages in ongoing research and professional development to stay informed of the latest advancements in pelvic floor physiotherapy. Whether it's helping patients regain bladder control, alleviating pelvic pain, or supporting individuals through the journey of pregnancy and childbirth, she takes pride in making a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients.
As well, Kathleen has had the privilege of collaborating with athletes across different levels and across a spectrum of sports disciplines. Her experience ranges from preventive measures to rehabilitative therapies, enabling her to tailor treatment plans that address each athlete's unique needs. Her treatment approach consists of education, manual therapy, soft tissue release, exercises, and cupping.
In her spare time she likes to go hiking, trying out new restaurants and taking care of her sundew plants!
